This year the event will be at Tampere Areena from Monday to Thursday. On Friday we’ll work at Finnkino Plevna.
Tampere Areena is a multifunctional hall that can vary from holding sports practices and events to different concerts, meetings and celebrations. Its capacity is approximately 2500 seated places. It combines big spaces for massive affairs with smaller venues such as a bowling center, a restaurant, saunas and meeting rooms. Areena is located at Kaleva, near Tampere Ice Stadium.
Finnkino Plevna is a movie theater that has been built on the spot of an old weaving mill in the Finlayson factory area. The original factory pioneered in having the first working light bulb in Scandinavia, as it was light up by Thomas Edison’s bulbs on 18th March 1882. Nowadays Plevna’s ten movie halls have a total of 1653 seats, which makes it Finland’s largest movie theater outside of Helsinki. All halls have been made to meet the latest quality standards.
This is the first year in InnoEvent Tampere history that we leave the premises of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it!
